Message from the Committee

As we reach the middle of the season, we want to extend a warm thank‑you to all players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and families. The first half of the year has been full of growth, teamwork, and plenty of proud moments across all age groups.

It’s been wonderful to see our players developing their skills, building confidence, and supporting one another on and off the court. Our coaches and volunteers continue to give their time and energy to create a positive environment for our juniors, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they do.

We’re excited for the second half of the season and all the opportunities it brings. Thank you for being part of our club community and for helping make this year such a rewarding one.

Second‑Hand Dresses

Some of our newer players may be looking for dresses. If you have an old dress you’d like to sell or give away, please post it on our second‑hand Facebook page. If you prefer, you can let the committee know and we can post it on your behalf.

SPORT PARENTS/SPECTATOR

Code of Conduct

Remember that children are in sport for their enjoyment not yours
RESPECT all decisions made by coaches, umpires & officials
Be a role model by supporting your child
DO NOT COACH YOUR CHILD IN GAMES OR TRAINING. If you would like to coach from the sidelines please contact the club for a coaches shirt in 2027
RESPECT the rights of ALL players
Applaud effort and hard work, as well as success
Avoid criticising any player on the court or at training
Encourage children to play according to the rules
Do not force your child to participate in sport
DO NOT shout or criticise players if they make a mistake

ATTENDANCE

Please refer to our policies page - no attendance could affect your playing time!

Help Us Help Your Team 😄

Missing players = creative coach maths.

Please mark your attendance or send a quick message if your child can’t make it.

A quick heads‑up makes a huge difference.

It keeps teams balanced, drills planned, and coaches sane.

Your coach’s stress levels thank you.

When you do attend training and games it is extremely important to have the appropriate attire.

Please make sure players arrive in proper runners, comfy activewear, appropriate bra/crop under top and hair tied back so they can train safely and play their best.

(Yes, even if they swear they can sprint in crocs.)

And no denim — we love the fashion, but not for netball.

SHOES

Proper netball shoes are essential for the sport's stop-start nature, offering critical lateral stability, shock-absorbing cushioning, and multidirectional grip.

Unlike running shoes, which only support forward motion, netball footwear protects against severe ankle rolls, joint strain, and premature shoe wear during quick pivots and jumps.

Please ensure your player has the correct shoes to play as it can affect their knees and ankles for years to come.

WET WEATHER PREPAREDNESS

Any undergarments MUST be black, bring a plastic bag for your jumpers (or use your coaches), train in the rain to prepare for games.

Bring a towel and/or extra clothes and shoes.

Don't forget extra socks, (just in case yours get wet while coaching and you need to play!)

EXCITING THINGS TO COME!!!

Do you love designing or drawing? How about having an amazing diverse background and story?

Something colourful is coming. Our diversity artwork project is underway, we will be putting it out to you our members to assist with designing new diversity bibs for each of our teams in 2027.

Blade has started us off with an amazing First Nations design

Thank you, Blade — we cannot wait to see what is next to come from our amazing members and we are sure we going to love what every artwork we receive.

CAKE STALL

What a day at SDNA!

A huge thank you to our Jetz committee, volunteers, teams and families who helped bring June's cake stall and raffle to life.

From organising prizes, baking goodies, selling tickets, setting up, packing down and showing up with smiles, this was a real team effort and such a great reminder of what makes our Jetz community so special.

We also want to thank everyone who donated prizes, baked treats or supported the stall on the day. The raffle prize table was incredible, including a signed Fever netball, and we are so grateful for the generosity shown by our members and wider community.

Everything raised goes straight back into our club, helping us continue to support and develop our teams, players and Jetz community.

Thank you for making this one our best yet!

NETBALL HQ

This year PLAYHQ have introduced a new feature that allows the club to message/email all members through an app and their email.

Southern Districts Netball Association

All spectators are to sit on the grassed area to view games. Courtside is strictly for Coaches/Assistant Coaches, Managers and Players that have been registered on Play HQ.

The scorer and timer for each team must sit together in the middle of the court.

We are also asking that all teams that are due to play in the next timeslot, wait for the game in process to finish before moving to the sideline.
